      ECE Graduation Day Pictures 2024

Indus Training and Research Institute (ITARI), in collaboration with the University of Helsinki and HY+, proudly celebrated the graduation of its first Postgraduate Programme in Early Childhood Education, Batch of 2024. The ceremony commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, attended by distinguished guests including Dr. Jonna Kangas, Prof. Sattu Prittinen, and Ms. Mirka Gustafsson from the University of Helsinki and HY+, Indus Trust CEO Lt. Gen. Arjun Ray, Indus International School Bangalore Principal and Advisor to ITARI Dr. Sarojini Rao, and ITARI Director Dr. Mala Palani.

Dr. Palani welcomed everyone and beautifully brought out the essence and resemblance of the Indian flower Aparajita with the Finnish Bellflower, both symbolizing resilience—a quality embodied by the ECE graduates. Following her introduction, the graduates received
their diplomas from the University of Helsinki, HY+.

Lt. Gen. Arjun Ray delivered an inspiring keynote, highlighting the importance of upskilling to meet the demands of the Beta Generation and advocating for a STEAM-H learning approach, which is the way of learning. He emphasised on the collaboration between
AI, human teachers, and students. Dr. Sarojini Rao, inspired the cohort by reinforcing the importance of research-backed teaching practices, while Mr. Kimmo Kärpijoki, CEO of HY+, extended congratulations to the graduates. Dr. Jonna Kangas, the academic leader
of the ECE programme, reminded graduates of the power of reflective practices for a transformative learning journey and playful learning in shaping young minds.
