The PGDE-I is ITARI’s flagship programme. This programme is offered in partnership with Birmingham City University (BCU), UK. The PGDE-I is a UK Level 7 qualification delivered in accordance with the highest British Teacher Education Standards. The BCU and invited examiners from other UK universities ensure quality assurance of the programme. The programme aims to build key 21st Century Teacher competencies:
A key defining feature of the PGDE–I is the focus on developing teacher competencies like adaptability, agile systems thinking, innovation mindset, and collaborative intelligence. The faculty at ITARI offer personalised mentoring support to nurture these core competencies. The mentoring sessions are based on dialogic reflection where biases are questioned, and goals are set to design open-minded critical-thinking educators. By raising our awareness of the incredible potential we have as humans, this synergetic conversation creates educators who design learning experiences to unlock every child’s potential.
One of the strengths of the programme is the diversity in the classroom. This course is built on the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Given this rich blend of professionals from varied experiences, your cohort will benefit immensely by working in strong Communities of Practice. Collaboration and deep reading build vibrant thinking teams. Moreover, the leadership abilities you gain in this course enables you to have an impact on teaching and learning in a diverse range of settings. Our graduates eventually influence policy and practice to better the purpose of education through decision-making and innovative problem-solving opportunities.
